The non-profit organization, Historic Augusta, has a mission statement to “preserve historically or architecturally significant sites in Augusta and Richmond County, GA. The current president of Historic Augusta is our own, George D. Bush.

The properties include the Old First Baptist Church downtown, the Green House on Miller Street, two buildings on Wrightsboro Road, the Righton Robertson House on McDowell Street, and an area of the Sand Hills Neighborhood.
